The ‘Meat Production and Service’ Company (MPS) was established in 2008 under support of the KAZKA Association of Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs. MPS is a pioneer in launching a new model of stock breeding complex of 3 hectare in area located in the Koshmambet village of the Karasai district in the Almaty region. Currently meat is produced using high-tech equipment with the capacity of 200 bovine cattle and 500 sheep per 10 hours at the slaughter house of 1205 square meters. The products are kept in a reliable freezing room, with the capacity of 150 tons of meat at a temperature of -5/+5 С.

The main purpose of the project is to create modern complex for processing and producing animal products using innovational slaughtering methods and equipment of the leading ‘Freund’ Company, Germany. A feed complex is planned to be constructed within the project. For this purpose in the region there are all necessary objective and subjective preconditions, namely, fertile climate, free pastures, production basis, and support of governmental bodies. The total cost of the project is 8 million USD. In 2009-2010 the construction of the meat processing plant is expected to be finalized. The plant, which will have freezing rooms with the capacity of 500 tons of meat, will have the capacity of slaughtering 500 bovine cattle and 1000 small cattle per day. Besides, various meat products, such as wurst, will be produced at the plant. The ecologically clean products, meeting necessary norms and standards, including the Halal standards, will be supplied to the Kazakhstani and foreign markets.

In the near-term future the company is expecting to obtain the veterinary code of the European Union, which will facilitate export of the animal products to the European countries.
